Green to offer discounts for low emission cars
Kwik-Fit Insurance Services has launched a new subsidiary, The Green Insurance Company, for environmentally-conscious drivers.
The Green Insurance Company will offset 100% of the carbon emissions from its customers’ cars and has pledged to invest five per cent of its annual profits into sustainability projects.
The Scottish-based company will also offer discounts for low emission cars and reconditioned car parts. It will recycle written-off cars.
Managing director Andrew McMillan, said: “We don’t want to patronise or preach to people… Through The Green Insurance Company I want to give drivers a real choice. Rather than insure the old fashioned way, I want to offer competitive prices, quality cover, great service and help undo some of the damage caused by emissions.”
