Legal & General has confirmed it has entered into an agreement to use Mobius' Total Content Management (TCM) software.

TCM software is used to archive and store information in a range of formats.

A Legal & General spokesman said the insurer had secured a deal to begin using the Mobius technology.

"We've bought licences from them [Mobius] - it's a long-term arrangement," the spokesman said.

TCM software converts paper-based information into digital archive files. US-based Mobius said TCM software helps insurers reduce fraudulent claims by providing access to "all relevant documentation for investigators and fraud detection systems".

"A TCM system is an integrated set of software facilities that capture, manage, store and deliver diverse content that supports e-business processes and internal operations from supply to demand and from design to support," said the company.
