Legal & General has signed its fifth agreement with an aggregator to sell its policies through a price comparison site.

The company has struck a deal with TescoCompare.com, starting this month, to sell its Essentials and Extra home insurance policies through the product price comparison site.

Under the agreement, TescoCompare.com will be part of Legal & General’s home insurance panel.

Legal & General direct general insurance business director Mike Lawler said: “We understand that Tesco Compare customers all have very different requirements and want to be able to choose home insurance cover that actually suits their particular needs.

“Essentials and Extra provides TescoCompare.com customers with the choice to arrange home insurance that offers fundamental or more comprehensive cover, if that is what is needed,” Lawler added.

Legal & General currently works with comparethemarket.com, confused.com, gocompare.com, and moneysupermarket.com.

TescoCompare.com compares products across insurance, money, utilities and holidays.
