The Lloyd's Choir is set to reach its biggest ever audience when it appears on Channel 4 later this month.

The 70-strong choir from the Lloyd's insurance market sang alongside 16 groups, performing music from the Congo, Georgia and Armenia for the concert filmed at Camden's Roundhouse.

The choir, which includes underwriters, brokers and secretaries, performed two Latin pieces for the TV show. Choir chairman Helen Furnell, who works for Kiln, said the choir usually sang masses, but had also performed classics and popular tunes by Cole Porter.

The choir meets for practice at 1pm on Mondays at St Catherine Cree Church in Leadenhall Street. The Channel 4 concert called Because I Sing is being broadcast at 7.30pm on Sunday, May 27.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
