Mayes to develop European and US books

Business deal work handshake people

Lockton has appointed Phil Mayes as the new senior-vice president for its global technology and privacy practice based in London.

Mayes left his post as Zurich’s head of technology professional indemnity earlier this month after more than five years at the company.

Lockton partner and practice leader Ben Beeson said: “Phil’s experience will be invaluable to continue to support the client portfolio we have developed in the USA as well as opening up international opportunities - particularly in Europe.

“Technology driven risks from changing business models such as cloud computing mean a broker must have an in depth knowledge of the impact this is having on organisations.”
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
