Former Aon broker who has 30 years experience in industry is latest capture for boss Simon Rice

Alastair Johnstone, Lonmar

Lonmar Global Risks has recruited Alastair Johnstone as divisional director of the non-marine division.

Johnstone has a 30 year insurance career under his belt, having worked for Aon, Guy Carpenter and The Underwriting Exchange Limited.

He will report to David Pexton, managing director of Lonmar’s non-marine division. Johnstone is tasked with finding new business opportunities in casualty and serving key clients in that space.

Pexton said: “Alastair is a great addition to our specialist casualty team, with considerable market experience gained from working on major client accounts over the years.”

Chief executive Simon Rice said: “We have an ongoing strategy of strengthening each of our specialist areas. Alastair will be an invaluable asset to Lonmar in supporting our clients and further expanding our casualty portfolio.”
