LV= has removed the upper age limit on its car insurance from 26 March 2012. Previously, those aged 86 and over could not get car insurance unless they were already insured with LV=.

LV= car insurance managing director, John O’Roarke, said “LV= was one of the first insurers to remove the upper age limit on its travel insurance policies and now we are extending this to our car insurance customers.

“People are living longer and driving until much later in life and now they have peace of mind that they can continue to find cover with LV=,” O’Roarke added.
