Sarah Brian joins from rival Barbican Insurance
Specialist insurer Markel has strengthened its MGA division with the appointment of two underwriters.
Sarah Brian joins as senior underwriter from Barbican Insurance, Syndicate 1955, where she held the position of underwriting manager of binding authorities and property underwriter.
Alex Hardy joins Markel from MSF Pritchard Syndicate 318 – Beaufort Underwriting Agency, where he served as assistant binding authority underwriter. Previously, he worked as a broker and account handler at Heath Lambert Group.
Markel MGA division managing director, Jason Hodson said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah and Alex to the MGA team. They bring with them extensive expertise and will play an important role in building the MGA division.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
