Alan Morton switches to Marsh for senior claims roles

Marsh has appointed Alan Morton as senior claims advocate in its international division and property claims practice group leader, UK and international.

Morton joins from Aon Global Risk Consulting, where he was director and head of claims advocacy.

Prior to Aon, he spent 23 years at JLT, where he was head of claims.

Morton said: “It is when companies have a claim that they are most reliant on their broker to deliver a good and timely outcome. It is the part of our business where ‘the rubber hits the road’."

David Pigot, head of claims for Marsh’s International Division, said: “Alan Morton is a highly respected claims professional with vast experience of global insurance markets, particularly the London market."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
