Scottish Secretary of State Helen Liddell has threatened to "call in" senior managers at Iron Trades Management Services over slow payment of claims to Chester Street Insurance claimants.
On Monday, Liddell met with asbestos specialist solicitor Frank Maguire of Thompsons, Tony Worthington MP and asbestos action groups, who told her there have been long delays in making payments to claimants where agreement has been reached about liability.
The group also discussed Turner & Newall and the Fairchild judgment.
