Lloyd's insurer Mitsui grows underwriting team

Mitsui Sumitomo at Lloyd’s has made five appointments in its underwriting team.

Chris Bottomley has been appointed as underwriting manager for property and Richard Nathan is promoted to head of corporate property.

They will be joined by Kevin Galer from CNA in the near future, the insurer added.

John Steel, previously at Jubilee, has joined the motor team.

Richard Bridges, who is currently at Chubb, has been appointed hull underwriter and will join the Mitsui Sumitomo at Lloyd’s marine team.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
