Personal finance web site moneynet.co.uk has said its research shows that it offers some of the best prices for travel insurance in the market.
The web site compared its policy prices with nine different types of cover from eight other travel insurance providers, as at 28 January 2002.
It said it was cheapest five out of nine times and the second cheapest the rest of the time.
Moneynet, whose quotations are provided by TPU, Columbus, Primary Direct and Voyager, said using its service was straightforward: "It takes just five steps and a matter of minutes to compare quotes, select a product and buy online."
It said an added benefit was that once a policy had been purchased it could be amended or renewed online as well.
Moneynet.co.uk managing director Richard Brown said: "This service helps the consumer to choose the policy that best suits their needs and their pocket."
