Moody's has assigned an‘Aaa' insurance financial strength rating to FGIC UK.
The company is a newly created wholly owned subsidiary of Financial Guaranty Insurance Company.
The ratings agency said FGIC UK's rating is based on the strong formal support provided by its parent FGIC and the strategic importance for FGIC to grow its franchise in the European financial guaranty markets.
The ratings outlook is stable.
