Chelmsford-based intermediary LFC Insurance has acquired the business of Barkingside-based Lessing Commercial for an undisclosed sum.
Lessing has been trading for 32 years, and is primarily a commercial lines intermediary. Lessing brokers David Bazley and Gary Carmoody will join LFC.
LFC director Bryan Daniels said the intermediary was "always on the look out for quality business of this kind."
He added: "This is an excellent acquisition and one which will maintain the momentum of what was a very exciting 1999 for us."
