DIxon gone "to pursue other career interests"

HSBC Insurance Brokers has appointed Philip Gregory as chief executive officer, replacing Mike Dixon.

Dixon has left the group to “pursue other career interests”, HSBC said.

Gregory joins the company from Marsh where he was chief operating and chief financial officer at the broker’s Europe, Middle East and Africa division.

Steve Troop, general manager, head of insurance at HSBC said: “HSBC Insurance Brokers are uniquely placed within HSBC to take our insurance proposition to our commercial client base. The growth of the HSBC Insurance brand is predicated on our commercial customers at every level having access to first class service and a knowledge rich product offering whatever their insurance needs.”

He added: “HSBC as a group can provide invaluable insight into risk management and the mitigation of risk. This will add real value to our clients’ businesses whatever their size. Philip’s expertise and skills set in understanding the broking market place and clients’ needs are at a premium in today’s insurance market, and will position us to deliver on the promise of an outstanding broking business.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
