RSA's Ring to lead Torus team along with new underwriters
David Ring has joined global specialty insurer Torus to lead its newly created London-based general property team.
As UK head of general property, Ring is responsible for managing and growing Torus' UK and European general property underwriting portfolio.
Kelly Sanders and Chris Ray have also been appointed as senior underwriters, reported to Ring.
Prior to Torus, Ring was at RSA for over 20 years in a variety of property underwriting roles around the world, including the UK, Europe and North America. Most recently he was head of commercial lines underwriting for the insurer’s international businesses, which included Canada, Scandinavia, Italy and Ireland.
Sanders joins Torus from FM Global where she was an account manager.
Ray has joined from HDI Gerling Industrial Insurance Company where he was senior global property underwriter.
