Guardian's Euro chief Guardian Holdings, the Caribbean-based financial services group has appointed Steve Tidd as chief executive of its European operations Link and Zenith. It follows the resignation of Andy Haynes. In addition to his role as chief executive of the European businesses, Tidd will continue as chief executive of the Gibraltar-based Link Insurance Company and Zenith Insurance.

Towergate's Kewill deal
Towergate has signed a three-year deal with Kewill for the use of its underwriting platform. The Kewill Insurance Xchange will allow Towergate to communicate with its brokers across a common platform, the broker said.

IAG seals Equity buy-out Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has completed its £570m takeover of Equity. Regulatory bodies have approved the deal which will see IAG take a major share of the UK motor market.

THB Group has appointed Zurich's former UK strategic planning director as its new director of group operations.

Culver in SME deal Culver Insurance Brokers has secured a delegated authority deal for SME business with Norwich Union. The three-year deal covers non-motor corporate policies with an annual premium of less than £7,500.
