Brit to sell majority of RI3K
Brit will sell the majority of its controlling interest in electronic trading platform, RI3K, by the end of this week. The insurer, which holds an 85% stake in RI3K, is expected to sell most of its shareholding to a consortium, that includes ICAP founder Michael Spencer.

Arista preps five schemes
Arista insurance said it has five new schemes in the pipeline. This follows news that the commercial lines underwriting organisation has moved into the taxi sector with the development of a tailored product through Robert Nott Insurance Brokers. The company has appointed Simon Henderson as head of schemes.

Oxygen Holdings appointed Peter Christie to its board as non-executive director.

Christie was previously vice chairman of the Aon Group.

Coversure announces rise
Coversure Insurance Services, the Huntingdon based franchise operation has reported a surge in gross written premium levels in 2007 to record levels. Premiums written in March were just under £5.5m, it said.
