FSA launches TCF papers

The FSA will launch two papers in its Treating Customers Fairly programme this week. The culture paper will focus on leadership, strategy and rewards, while its management information paper deals with providing best practice.

Group restructure for Brit

Brit Insurance Holdings has announced a group restructure. It will introduce an independent body to advise senior management on underwriting strategy. Brit will also create two dedicated claims functions for the UK division and the global markets/reinsurance divisions.

Lloyd’s sculpture sold

Willard Wigan's microsculpture, 'Lloyd's of London on a Pin Head' has been sold at a private auction to an anonymous bidder for £94,000. Proceeds go to both the Prince’s Trust and the Dyslexia Association. The building was meticulously crafted from white gold and is no larger than a granule of sugar.

Unitas appoints Boucher

Unitas, the alliance of UK independent insurance brokers, appointed Mark Boucher as its chairman. Boucher was formerly the chief executive of Endurance Worldwide Insurance.
