The new hire most recently worked at JLT Specialty
Commercial broker Finch Group, an Ethos Broking partner, has appointed Paul Goodman as its new managing director.
Goodman most recently worked as the regional sales director at Marsh-owned JLT Specialty – here, he was responsible for delivering sales and devising broking strategies. He also had national responsibility for the manufacturing sector proposition.
Prior to this, Goodman held senior regional roles at Bluefin and Oval.

New opportunity
Goodman described his appointment as “an exciting career move”.
He continued: “I’m delighted to be embarking on leading a brokerage which I have admired for many years. I have known Vince for a while, and when I heard about the opportunity that was available following his move to the central Ethos Broking team, I couldn’t turn it down.
“Finch Group has seen rapid growth organically and through acquisition over recent years and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build upon its successes.”
Finch Group, which manages £62m GWP, employs more than 100 staff. The firm has eight offices, including sites in Bournemouth, Southampton, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke and Oxford, as well as its headquarters in Reading. The business partnered with Ethos Broking in November 2016.
Ethos Broking is a collection of like-minded brokers that all share similar values but retain their own DNA. The group of brokerages now comprises 11 regional centres and 22 satellites.
