’Digital transformation is at the top of the boardroom agenda,’ says chief executive

Cytora has expanded its global advisory board with the appointments of four insurance veterans.

In a statement released today (25 August 2023), the insurtech said it has snapped up Jeffrey Hayman, Bronek Masojada, Bill Bloom and John Bruno to provide strategic advice as the firm continues to grow.

Earlier this week (22 August 2023), chief executive Richard Hartley told Insurance Times that that the London-based firm had moved to a “global structure” and was deploying its services in a new country each month.

After snapping up four new members for its advisory board, Hartley said: ”Digital transformation is at the top of the boardroom agenda and it is a difficult area for insurance companies to navigate and achieve enduring success.

“We are pleased to bring together such a breadth of expertise to help lead the industry forward.”

Experience

The new appointments consist of leaders across commercial and specialty insurance.

For example, Bronek Masojada is the chair of SiriusPoint and former chief executive of Hiscox, while Jeffrey Hayman is the chair of R&Q Insurance Holdings and former board member of Zurich Insurance Group.

Meanwhile, John Bruno is the president of Xerox and former group chief operating officer and chief executive of data and analytic services at Aon , while Bill Bloom was the chief information officer and head of operations at both The Hartford and Travelers.

“The insurance world needs to go digital,” Masojada said.

”Cytora is a great tool for making risk flow digitally and I look forward to look working Richard and the team to advise them.”

Bruno added: ”The industry has been searching for ways to decouple premium growth from expense growth in order to scale to meet the rising level of risk and to deliver more value to clients.

”Cytora is having a transformative impact on the industry.”
