’Our ambition is now to build on the investment in the refurbishment’ and ‘use it as a springboard’ says managing director

H&H Insurance Brokers yesterday (5 July 2023) unveiled its revamped Carlisle-based headquarters as part of its ongoing expansion plans.

The rural and commercial lines broker, which serves clients across England, Wales and the Scottish Borders region, also has offices in Durham, Newtown St Boswells in the Scottish Borders and at Wrexham and Ruthin in North Wales.

The work was carried out by Eco Group’s projects division, which operates across the UK from its offices in Annan and Carlisle.

Paul Graham, managing director of H&H Insurance Brokers, said: “Our ambition now is to build on the investment in the refurbishment and to use it as a springboard to grow and evolve H&H Insurance Brokers over the next few years.”

“The feedback from the team has been brilliant and I can already see that it will change the way we work by creating a more collaborative approach to working across the team.”

It follows the broker opening an office in Wrexham in August 2022 as it continued its expansion in Wales

Sustainable workspace

Eco Projects carried out the work in ten weeks with teams of joiners, plasterers and electricians.

Ryan Fieldston, project manager for Eco Projects, said: “People often don’t realise how much space they have in a property. Businesses might have people working in different small offices but when they open it out, they often can’t believe how much space they have.”

The Eco Projects team achieved the most sustainable solutions possible throughout the revamp, including utilising existing data cables and, with the help of fellow Eco Group company Integrity IT, completing the IT and systems work for the new layout.

Graham added: “The team at Eco Projects did a fantastic job. All aspects of the project were delivered on time and on budget and we were kept informed on how it was progressing throughout the entire process.”
