Marsh Risk has added significant capacity to its data centre construction insurance facility Nimbus.

The facility will now offer limits up to $2.7 bn (£1.98bn) – inclusive of delay in startup and business interruption coverage – for major data centre construction projects in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Launched in June 2025 as the first insurance facility of its kind for large-scale data centre construction projects, Nimbus supports digital infrastructure development while mitigating specific risk exposures and providing greater financial protection for Marsh Risk’s clients and their capital providers.
It is is currently being deployed on numerous projects in the US, UK and the Netherlands.
Growing demand
