The business will specialise in the accident and health insurance market

Healix Insurance Services managing director Phil Denman and director Jessica Tubb have teamed up to launch a new underwriting managing general agent (MGA) in the UK.

Capacity Insights aims to disrupt the travel and consumer lines insurance markets, a statement released last week (9 June 2023) said.

It will focus on the accident and health (A&H) insurance market and offer four product schemes – including travel, medical, dental and personal accident (PA).

As a trading name of Healix Insurance Service, Capacity Insights is operating under a fully delegated authority.

Deman said in a statement last week that he hoped the business will “bring something different to modern insurance distributors”.

“We’re thrilled to be launching Capacity Insights as a dedicated A&H MGA with both a consumer and commercial lines footprint,” he added.

“With our data insights driven models and experience in multiple channels, we think we can bring something different to modern insurance distributors.”

’Driving force’

Healix Insurance Services – part of Healix Group – was launched in 2005 and provides travel, health, dental and PA solutions.

The purpose of its Capacity Insights business is to provide personalised insurance cover to customers by blending traditional technical competencies and digital data techniques.

Denman and Tubb launched the firm after “recognising the need for personalised underwriting solutions based on market insight, data science and a commitment to exceptional customer outcomes”.

“From retail and SMEs with a small team of employees through to large multinationals with dispersed workforces, tailored innovative solutions can meet needs and price points,” Denman said.

“This will be our driving force at Capacity Insights.”
