The platform has enabled 80% of claims to be settled in England and Wales without the need for physical legal representation

A web-based platform aimed at settling claims without the need for a human lawyer is to be expanded internationally.

Law firm Kennedys’ KLAiM platform has enabled English and Welsh clients to settle 80% of claims without the need for physical legal representation, the Law Society Gazette reported on Tuesday.

The platform is web-based and offers users templates and guidance notes to navigate litigation procedures. KLAiM also provides the necessary court documents.

Kennedys said the platform is to be rolled out in the US, Bermuda, Australia, and Hong Kong, with specific amendments relevant to each jurisdiction.
