’He is a great hire who will add strength and depth as we continue to pursue our ambitions as a business,’ says chief executive
SiriusPoint has appointed Andrew Pryde as its new group chief risk officer.
In his new role, Pryde will be responsible for overseeing the (re)insurer’s global risk management strategy.
He joins from Catalina Re, where he was group chief risk officer and responsible for risk management, compliance and capital modelling.
He has also held executive director and group chief risk officer roles at both Beazley and Darag during his career.
Pryde will report to Scott Egan, chief executive at SiriusPoint, when he starts his new role this September.
Egan said: “Pryde is a highly accomplished and experienced board level insurance executive with proven experience of implementing strong and valued risk management frameworks.
”He is a great hire who will add strength and depth as we continue to pursue our ambitions as a business. This appointment will be based in Bermuda, also adding further strength to our Bermuda based team.”
Moving on
Pryde will replace Andreas Kull, who remains at SiriusPoint until September to maintain business continuity and a smooth transition of responsibilities to the new appointee.
