She has 18 years of experience working in various roles at the CII

Tali Shlomo, people engagement director has left the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to pursue new opportunities, it was confirmed today.

Shlomo spent 18 years working at the CII, beginning as a human resources manager in 2007, a role she held for six years.

She then became a human resources director for the CII in 2013 for nearly nine years before taking on the role of global people engagement director.

Currently her role is being undertaken by an interim director while a successor is being sought.

During her time at the CII she has been a key voice championing diversity and challenging gender pay gap in the industry.

Keith Richards, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, said: “[Shlomo] has been approached on a number of occasions to lead this agenda and after 18 years at the CII has reluctantly felt that was now time to pursue new opportunities and leverage her experience and expertise in the D&I space within a different industry.

“[Shlomo] has built a high profile in the market with her work on D&I and inclusive workplace cultures, and at the end of last year was recognised in the global business insurance 100 list for the contribution she has made to the wider profession.”

Richards added that Shlomo has been an “asset” to the CII over nearly two decades and has supported its evolution and people engagement throughout that time.

“Her passion, drive and experience will be missed by us all and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her dedication, achievements and support.”
