Steve Mayne responsible for embedding new commercial propositions and assisting regional offices

NIG has appointed Steve Mayne to the position of distribution implementation manager.

Mayne will be responsible for embedding new commercial propositions secured through NIG’s key accounts teams, as well as assisting NIG’s regional offices with tender opportunities.

He will report to David Parker, NIG’s director of distribution and will also assist with the general management of NIG’s Distribution strategies.

Mayne joined NIG in November 2005 as an underwriter. Prior to this, he was head of specialist lines and telephone account management at Norwich Union. He brings 28 years’ experience in the insurance industry to the role.

Commenting on the appointment David Parker said: “Steve’s appointment will further strengthen our distribution team, giving us a real edge in this highly competitive area. He brings a wealth of insurance knowledge and a great understanding of the market to the role.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
