Rob Smart joins from Travelers
NIG has hired ex-Travelers executive Rob Smart as its new head of commercial claims.
He was previously senior claims manager at Travelers Insurance, responsible for property and public liability claims.
Smart will report to NIG managing director Jon Greenwood. He will have operational responsibility for the commercial property, liability and motor damage claims team, which handles all commercial and broker brands, and, in addition, the insurer’s agricultural offering under Farmweb.
NIG is the broker-only commercial division of Direct Line Group.
