Nikko Group has until midday on 23 November to make its intentions clear on whether it wants to buy Goshawk.
The UK Takeover Panel ruled this afternoon that "Nikko Principal Investments Ltd, the UK capital investment arm of Nikko Group, must by November 23 either announce a firm intention to make an offer for Goshawk Insurance Holdings PLC or announce that it does not intend to make an offer."
On September 30, Goshawk said it terminated takeover talks with Nikko Group.
