Bill Edrich given new role on Syndicate 2007

Novae Syndicates has appointed Bill Edrich as a deputy active underwriter of Syndicate 2007 at Lloyd’s.

Edrich joins the two existing deputy active underwriters Ian Burford and Richard Norris, with whom he shares a general responsibility for all aspects of the syndicate’s business.

He will have specific responsibility for the direct business transacted through Novae Underwriting, the group’s Lloyd’s service company.

Peter Matson, group chief underwriting officer, said: “I am delighted Bill has accepted this important appointment.

"I have worked with him for over twenty years and I know that with his underwriting record he will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, adding to the valuable contribution he has made to the Novae Group over the last six years.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
