Novae Group said it has appointed Jacqueline Spencer-Sim as cyber underwriter.

She will have responsibilities for business development and relationships in the US, and will report to Dan Trueman, head of the cyber unit. 

Spencer-Sim joins Novae from Brit Insurance where she was deputy underwriter in Brit’s global cyber, privacy and technololgy team. Prior to that she spent over two years in Lockton’s technology and cyber team, where she focused on US clients. She began her career at Beazley.

“Cyber is an important, growing class for Novae and one in which we are investing,” said Bob Patten, head of casualty at Novae. “Dan is building a top quality team and Jacqueline has a great reputation in the market. Her experience will strengthen our offering and increase the team’s ability to deliver bespoke insurance products that respond to the dynamic cyber environment.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
