High net worth specialist Oak Underwriting has been sold to fellow underwriting agency Somerville.
Beazley, which underwrites Oak's high net worth policy, has extended its backing to Oak with a five-year commitment and an increase of 30% in premium income for 2004 to about £20m.
Somerville founder Andrew Cross becomes chairman of Oak Underwriting. Tony Lumsden Cook continues as Oak's managing director.
