Insurance broker Opus launched its new equestrian product, Sports Horse, at the annual Opus Aldon Horse Trials last week.
More than 850 entries competed in three disciplines of dressage, show-jumping and cross-country.
The policy offers holders cover for veterinary fees, personal liability and personal accident, permanent loss of use, and UK and international transit of horses.
