Ex-Bluefin regional boss Nick Inge in new launch

Opus Risk Solutions has joined the Broker Network Start-Up proposition.

The newly formed Poole-based broker will focus on commercial classes and will provide markets for high net worth and personal lines covers.

Nick Inge is managing director of Opus and was previously regional managing director of Venture Preference (now Bluefin) before leaving in June 2008.

A spokesman for Broker Network said that up to 10 jobs will be created locally over the next three years as the business grows.

Inge said: "As a start-up, we have to be focussed on our clients from day one. The start-up proposition at Broker Network means we can do just that, plus it gives us easy access to quality insurers, carriers and markets which we need to compete at all levels."

Scott Bennett, director of sales at Broker Network, said: "We have worked closely with Opus to make sure that they are able to concentrate on the essentials in those first few months of trading."

The Broker Network Start-Up proposition has so far supported 6 independent brokers.
