Oval Insurance Broking has successfully completed the migration of its entire business to the Acturis system.

The broker will now use the administration, distribution and underwriting platform for all its users, accounting functions and e-traded products.

The migration took place over the past 12 months and is one of the most complex migration projects undertaken by Acturis to date. The technology company has trained 274 users from eight Oval offices around the UK on the system and trasferred a total of 24,000 clients and about 40,000 policies.

All of Oval’s commercial business is now transacted through the Acturis system, including SME and corporate books of business and specialist lines.

Oval Insurance Broking Operations managing director Anita Watson said: “We are delighted that the migration project is complete and Acturis has delivered on time and to budget.

“The migration of all of our users onto the Acturis platform will increase efficiencies across the business. Importantly, it gives us a single point of reporting so we have clear visibility of our performance right across the business to help identify any areas for continued improvement and growth.”
