Corporate risks head Sean Hicks has passed away

Sean Hicks, Oxygen's head of corporate risks, has died.

In a statement, Oxygen said: "We regret to advise the sad news that Sean Hicks has passed away. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this very difficult time.

"Sean was head of our Corporate Risks team. He joined Oxygen in 2006 together with five colleagues who had set up a business with the aim of being the first insurance broker in the UK to operate on a professional services model, with all its income earned through fees or fully disclosed commission.

"Sean played a major role in building the business, which has gained a reputation for its professional staff, the delivery of high standards of service and the quality of its advice.

"He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and all those who have worked with him over the years."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
