PatientChoice has launched Priority medical cover for corporate customers.
The company said Priority is "specifically designed with the workforce in mind and covers many of the common operations that require a waiting period in the NHS. These include treatment for slipped discs, hips and knees, hernias and cataracts".
Stuart Scullion, head of sales at PatientChoice, said: "PatientChoice Priority builds on our approach to offer affordable healthcare solutions which give the customer real choice.
"The product opens up a whole new sector of the market for intermediaries and we intend to promote the product with a selected group of suitable partners in the intermediary space.
"In addition to price, the product is attractive because it works for the employer as a sickness absence tool and an employee benefit, depending on how the customer wishes to use it."
