Roger Ball will join QBE on 1 January 2016

QBE has appointed Roger Ball as director of motor.

Ball will join QBE on 1 January 2016 and will assume responsibility for the company’s portfolio of commercial motor business which includes motor trade and motor fleet business.

He will report to QBE retail managing director David Hall.

Ball has more than 32 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has held a variety of senior roles, most recently at Allianz, based in Munich.

He replaces Talbir Bains who joined Hyperion-owned managing general agency DUAL Group as global chief underwriting officer in March.

David Hall commented: “I’m delighted that Roger will be joining QBE’s Retail division to lead our commercial motor team.

“His experience and knowledge will play a vital role as we shape and develop our products and services for the future, ensuring that we are in a position to respond to the changing and individual needs of our clients and brokers.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
