QBE has appointed two regional business heads to boost its UK national underwriting network.

Elliot Miller will head up Ireland, Scotland and the North and Pat Wood will take responsibility for Wales, the Midlands and Southern England.

Both will work with their local offices in each region as parts of QBE's new structure to grow its regional proposition.

Miller who will cover the regional offices of Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Dublin, became commercial manager of QBE’s Glasgow office in 2007.

Wood, who will head up Birmingham, Stafford, Chelmsford and Bristol, joined QBE’s operation in Manchester in 1997 and was promoted to commercial manager of the Leeds office in 2007.

Terry Whittaker, managing director for QBE European Operations’ distribution division, said: “These appointments are part of our strategy to ensure we further enhance QBE’s regional offering to brokers and clients alike.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
