Team led by Christoper Rooke will bring new business
Loss adjuster QuestGates has acquired a specialist professional indemnity team from the Davies Group.
QuestGates will also pick up additional business as the team’s clients have agreed to transfer new and existing cases.
The team is led by Christopher Rooke, a qualified solicitor with nearly 20 years’ experience in PI claims, and includes Sunil Baldev who joins QuestGates as principal solicitor.
Baldev was previously at the solicitors indemnity fund from 1993 until 2005 dealing with professional negligence claims arising from all areas of the law.
QuestGates managing director Chris Hall said: “Our focus is on providing a personal service and added value in technical niche areas. The handling of PI claims demands legal expertise and experience, yet the cost of using law firms can often be high. We believe that the addition of Christopher and his team to our existing capability will enable QuestGates to offer a cost effective alternative.”

QuestGates said expects PI claims to become a core line of its business and anticipates growing its turnover in this area by more than 100% in 2010.
