Grant Thornton content with Macquarie Bank's sale timing

Quinn's administrators are happy with the pace at which Macquarie Bank is handling the Irish insurer's sale.

The admnistrator, respoding to reports it was unhappy with the time the bank is taking to put together an information package for bidders, said: “The administrators are happy with the pace at which the sales process is progressing.”

Macquarie has yet to hand out an information memorandum outlining the what will be required of bidders for the business.

But a Grant Thornton spokesman said: “The timing of the release of the informational memorandum to interested parties is at Macquarie’s discretion.”
