Wind-down of UK business will cut one in three jobs
Quinn Insurance’s administrators plan to make about 800 staff – one in three – redundant, the Irish Times reports.
The redundancies will be voluntary and over a 12 to 15 month period, as elements of the UK business wind down. 300 jobs will go immediately, the paper reports.
Most of the job losses will be in Ireland. Much of the UK business is handled by staff in Dublin, Cavan, Cork and Navan. There will also be job losses at Quinn’s offices in Enniskillen and Manchester.
