RAC is bringing together its accident and legal services.

The motoring organisation has appointed John Lawrence, former directors of membership sales at RAC Rescue, to lead the merged departments.

RAC is confident the merger will benefit customers by reducing time, recovery and repair costs and driver inconvenience. The company is planning to offer expertise in legal resources such as personal injury compensation and legal expenses insurance, as well as a new online service allowing customers to track the progress of their claims.

Lawrence said: “In 2007, RAC will be the first motoring service provider to bring accident and legal services together to share expertise, in order to develop the highest level of service and support for our customers - I am pleased to be a part of this renewed vigour.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
