Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has reinforced its regional position by making several appointments to its professional and financial risks practice (ProFin).

Mark Hayward has been appointed regional manager and will be based in Birmingham. He has worked at R&SA for the last 13 years.

Steven Moore has been appointed senior technical underwriter, based in Hertford. He will have responsibility for writing Management Assurance and Personal Accident business.

Sean Gilborson has been appointed Development Underwriter, based in Bristol.

Richard Tillett takes up the post of Senior Underwriter in ProFin's Bonds unit where he will be responsible for developing the bonds and surety account.

R&SA spokesman Nigel Salisbury commented: "I am delighted to announce these new appointments, which represent the continued development of our professional and financial risks practice throughout the UK.

"By ensuring that we have the right people in the right locations, we will be in the best position possible to continue building on our broker relationships, ensuring we are able to meet both their needs and those of their clients."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
