John Reizenstein to lead key financial, investment and legal activities

RBS Insurance have announced that John Reizenstein will join its executive team as finance director, subject to FSA approval.

After approval Reizenstein will lead the key financial, investment and legal activities of RBS Insurance in the newly-created role.

Reizensten will report to Paul Geddes, chief executive of RBS Insurance, and to Bruce van Saun, group finance director of RBS Group.

Reizenstein joins from Co-operative Financial Services (CFS), where he was managing director, corporate & markets, with responsibility for CFS's corporate banking, treasury, asset management and intermediary mortgage businesses since 2008.

Paul Geddes, chief executive of RBS Insurance, said: "John’s appointment represents a key step in our preparation for eventual separation from the RBS Group.

"As part of the RBS Insurance executive team, John will lead the key financial activities we need to shape the business for the future, and I'm delighted to have secured a candidate of his stature and experience."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
