RBSI raids RSA for new claims MD

RBS Insurance has appointed Steve Maddock as managing director of claims.

He will be responsible for the operational control and delivery of the claims operations from February 2010.

Maddock has been director of strategic and technical claims at RSA since 2004, during which time he had direct responsibility for implementing and controlling the UK claims strategy. His other previous roles include director of claims and customer service at Capita and director of operations at AMP Pearl.

RBS Insurance chief executive Paul Geddes said: “Claims management is an integral part of our business and we are significantly investing in this area to ensure that our processes are as efficient as possible.

"Therefore Steve’s extensive technical, strategic and operational knowledge in this area will be an invaluable benefit to the business. I look forward to working with him as we embark on our agenda for 2010.”
