Insurance and warranty scheme provider The Regency Group has acquired emergency response service Disaster Restoration Ltd (DRL) to sit within its Regency@Home business.

Regency@Home operates an independent network of upholstery and furniture repairers, and carpet and fabric cleaners, and bases its work on warranty and insurance related claims.

DRL provides an emergency response service to individuals who are victims of fire, flood, water, and malicious and accidental damage.

Regency Group managing director Ged Dempsey said: "The service DRL provides is sold to the domestic household insurance market, water authorities, local authorities and housing associations, and therefore fits very well with Regency@Home."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
