Reich Insurance has completed the acquisition of Bolton-based broker D Barnett Insurance Brokers.
The acquisition will bring the combined gross premium income of the Reich Group close to £70m per year.
Simon Taylor, managing director at Reich Insurance, said: "This acquisition will further strengthen our insurance offering , and bring increased expertise in commercial and personal insurance lines. We are an ambitious company that is completely dedicated to providing first-class customer service, and the synergy between our two companies will be evident in the coming months.
"We are also currently exploring other acquisition opportunities as we continue to look for ways to add value to the business of insurance."
Barnett Insurance currently employs 17 people, who will be integrated into Reich.
Bernard Jackson will continue his role as director, but in a new business capacity reporting directly to Taylor.
