Motorcycle intermediary Carole Nash has cut the cost of accident repairs by 13% since it launched an in-house repair centre and approved repairer network.
Carole Nash claimed its Service and Repair Centre has cut costs and claim settlement times by operating a fixed tariff system.
The intermediary claimed that its network has cut an average of £235 off a typical £1,800 repair bill.
Head of motorcycle services, Nick Baker, said: "By seizing control of repair costs we have delivered savings of around 13% to our underwriters.
"Given that the network is still gathering steam and Carole Nash handles around 25 percent of all UK motorcycle claims, we anticipate we can achieve even deeper volume related savings as time goes on. We aim to make a significant dent in the estimated £60m repair bill motorcycle underwriters face each year."
